Animals in need of a new
home
This page will be updated frequently, so come back often and see
if you can help some animal to find a new home.
This little kitten is a real survivor. She was found on a very busy road along with her brother. Unfortunately he had already been hit by a car. But at around 3 weeks old this little cutey was taken to a home for a few weeks until the lady rang us to take over. She is currently at Kenmare vets with a companion. Can you offer her a good home, hopefully with another kitten, as its always good to re-home in pairs. (Added 28th June 2008)
Born Sept 2007, these beautiful collie cross labs are awaiting a new home. Would make great family pets or working dogs. The mother and father are known and anymore info of them, please ring us.

This
2 year old pure black cat is very tame and house-trained. Fully
vaccinated and spayed and would make a great family pet. Must be
allowed to come indoors as she is used to her home comforts. Genuine
reason for the needing of a new home. (Added 18th June 2008)
 These
kittens are 2 of 4 needing safe and loving homes. Their mother
(pictured left) will be spayed. The kittens are a
little shy but we are currently in the process of catching them.
Only around 7 weeks old so once we have them, they will tame up
quickly. Can you offer a good home. Preferably would like these
to go in pairs.
These
four kittens to the right are 4 weeks old and they will be able
to go to a new home at about 8 weeks old (sometime in June 2008).
The mother is a stray but now being looked after by a kind gentleman.
One ginger, one tabby, one calico and one tortoiseshell.
If you are interested please ring us.

 A
few up-to-date pics of the kittens. They are now 7 weeks old and
playing around. All healthy and ready to go from June 18th.
The
young ginger cat strayed into someone's home. It's blind in one
eye and has his tongue sticking out a lot but a really cutey and
doesn't take long for him to warm to a person. The lady currently
feeding him can pick him and fuss him. Are you interested in giving
the cat a new home? We don't think he will be on this page for
long, as you can see he is a handsome chap.

This
cat strayed into someone's garden around mid April and has stayed
ever since. Beautiful healthy cat but a little timid. We are sure
in time she will be a pure lapcat but seems to have been scared
by something. If you can give this cat a good home please ring us (087 267
3023).

These
two collies are around 9 months old and are in desperate need of
a home. The black collie is very active and friendly whereas the
other, although friendly, is a little timid, but in time he should
come round with the right person. They do not have
to go together and they have not been neutered as yet.
Collies make lovely pets and are very intelligent dogs but need
a lot of exercise and activity. Please ring 087 267 3023 if you
can help. (Added 28th Feb. 2008)
Bianca, vaccinated and spayed female urgently needs
a new home. We adopted her out to a lovely family almost a year ago
but it turns out that the mother of the family has a severe allergy.
They do not want to part with Bianca and she is spoilt rotten, hardly
ever leaving the house, so she needs the same loving environment.
She is very healthy and loves affection and would make a great friend
and companion to anyone who would take over from her current family.
Please call us on 087 267 3023. (Added 5th Feb. 2008)

Adopting an animal
To find a pet that may suit, could you please answer the following
questions and return to me by email at
tiggertrust49@hotmail.com. Please include any other information
which you may consider useful.
- What are you looking for?
- What region are you in?
- Do you have something very specific in mind?
- Do you have children (young/older),
- Do you have an enclosed secure garden,
- Do you have or have you had animals before,
- Do you have animals already, etc. I'll keep your name on file
and contact you when I hear about a matching home needed.
When you have decided that you would like to take responsibility
of an animal that has previously been in trust with the Tigger Trust
an adoption form is given to you whereby you will agree to take
care of your new pet, vaccinate it and have neutered/spayed at the
appropriate time and if required take to your vet for any medical
treatment.
You can take an animal for a month's trial if you are worried it
has a problem and may not be brought under control but in most cases
a new owner is willing to keep the animal regardless of any disability.
If, however, after a month you are still not happy or the disability
seems to be worse, then the Trust will re-home the animal for you.
We would like to make people aware that animal charities are funded
and at some stage funding could be very minimum and so there may
be a time that you are asked to hold the animal until a new home
is found or funding is increased.
Please be certain if you take an animal that you are aware that
sometimes it can take a long time to adjust to their new environment
but also the animal itself may not actually be happy in your environment
for whatever reason. In most cases all new homes are very successful.

Fostering an animalWe constantly need help with fostering
animals.
Can you offer to keep some of our rescued or unwanted animals in
your home until a suitable new owner is found? Tigger Trust re-homes
animals reasonably quickly and no animal that has been in our care
has had to wait more than a few months for a new home.
If you are unable to foster would you like to give a donation
or take part in the fundraising efforts
to help fund the upkeep of taking care of these animals.
Any support is hugely appreciated and with your help we can control
the animal population.
